It is Normal to be Nervous to Hire an Attorney!

Many people who call our office are nervous to hire us, or even to talk or meet with us. Many people think that their employer will be mean to them, give them a hard time, or even fire them if they hire an attorney.

Under Indiana law, it is illegal for an employer to retaliate against an employee for pursuing rights under the Indiana Workers’ Compensation law. Your employer knows that it is illegal and should not take any steps to be difficult, mean to you, or retaliate against you for filing a workers’ compensation claim. To do so could give you the right to sue your employer.

Our office will meet with you, talk with you over the phone, or email you to answer any questions you may have free of charge. You do not need to hire us just because you decided to consult with us. Again, we do not charge any fee for a consultation. If you do decide to hire us, we feel confident that your employer would not retaliate against you. If they do, your employer may be subject to civil penalties.
