Do I have to take a drug test in order to be considered for workers’ compensation benefits?

A worker’s compensation claim cannot be denied because an injured employee refused to submit to a drug test.

But, if your employer has a drug screening policy and you refuse to comply, this can be grounds for termination in Indiana. If terminated for this reason, which would be considered unrelated to the work accident, then the injured employee’s temporary total disability (TTD) benefits may be refused.
